A compact and portable magnet system for measuring magnetic dichroism in resonant inelastic soft X‐ray scattering (SX‐RIXS) has been developed at the beamline BL07LSU in SPring‐8. A magnetic circuit composed of Nd–Fe–B permanent magnets, which realised ~0.25 T at the center of an 11 mm gap, was rotatable around the axis perpendicular to the X‐ray scattering plane. Using the system, a SX‐RIXS spectrum was obtained under the application of the magnetic field at an angle parallel, nearly 45° or perpendicular to the incident X‐rays. A dedicated sample stage was also designed to be as compact as possible, making it possible to perform SX‐RIXS measurements at arbitrary incident angles by rotating the sample stage in the gap between the magnetic poles. This system enables facile studies of magnetic dichroism in SX‐RIXS for various experimental geometries of the sample and the magnetic field. A focusing system based on a polycapillary half‐lens optic has been successfully tested for transmission and fluorescence µ‐X‐ray absorption spectroscopy at a third‐generation bending‐magnet beamline equipped with a non‐fixed‐exit Si(111) monochromator. The vertical positional variations of the X‐ray beam owing to the use of a non‐fixed‐exit monochromator were shown to pose only a limited problem by using the polycapillary optic. The expected height variation for an EXAFS scan around the Fe K‐edge is approximately 200 µm on the lens input side and this was reduced to ~1 µm for the focused beam. Beam sizes (FWHM) of 12–16 µm, transmission efficiencies of 25–45% and intensity gain factors, compared with the non‐focused beam, of about 2000 were obtained in the 7–14 keV energy range for an incoming beam of 0.5 × 2 mm (vertical × horizontal). As a practical application, an As K‐edge µ‐XANES study of cucumber root and hypocotyl was performed to determine the As oxidation state in the different plant parts and to identify a possible metabolic conversion by the plant. 相似文献

In recent years, people are dedicated to the research work of finding compact THz sources with high emission power. Smith-Purcell radiation is qualified for the possibility of coherent enhancement due to the effect of FEL mechanism. The compact experiment device is expected to produce hundreds mW level THz ray. The electron beam with good quality is provided under the optimized design of the electron gun. Besides, the grating is designed as an oscillator without any external feedbacks. While the beam passes through the grating surface, the beam bunching will be strong and the second harmonics enhancement will be evident, as is seen from the simulation results. 相似文献

对FAIR(Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research)收集环-CR(Collector Ring)二极超导磁体外杜瓦的超压泄放系统进行了概念设计,给出了爆破片式的泄放系统结构,并基于ANSYS的结构分析初步确定了爆破片的结构参数;以及通过ANSYS对波纹管和外杜瓦进行了结构分析,分析结果表明波纹管和外杜瓦在超压状态下安全。文中的设计和分析研究,为外杜瓦的工程设计提供了有益的参考。 相似文献

根据220 GHz回旋管的工作要求,设计了其所需的脉冲磁场系统与电子枪。脉冲磁场系统采用哑铃状结构,具有均匀区长、电阻小与电感小等优点,可以在较低电容与电压下获得更高的脉冲峰值磁场,并分析了其脉冲放电特性。电子枪采用双阳极磁控注入枪,用EGUN对其进行了设计优化,电子注纵横速度比为1.53,速度零散为3.1%。实验研究表明,脉冲磁场峰值强度达到8 T,电子注电流达到2 A,电子电流基本传输到靶片,控制极与阳极没有截获到电子,脉冲磁场系统与电子枪工作正常,达到设计要求。 相似文献

Nanocomposite of hard (BaFe12O19) and soft ferrite (Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4) are prepared by the mixing of the individual ferrite components at appropriate ratio and subsequent heat treatment. Initially the microstructure of the individual phases is controlled by suitable processing. We have observed the exchange spring behavior in the soft-hard ferrite composite for the first time by tailoring the particle size of the individual phases and by suitable thermal treatment of the composite. It is found that the exchange interaction dominates over the dipolar interaction for smaller particle sizes of the soft ferrite. The magnetization of the composite showed hysteresis loop that is characteristic of the exchange spring system. This gives experimental proof for some theoretical modeling as well as paves way for developing magnet with higher (BH)max product based on ferrites. 相似文献
